Content background

At Buildr ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered event planning platform at https://buildr-events.company (the "Service").

By using Buildr, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account with Buildr, we collect information such as your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide. This information is necessary to create and manage your account, provide customer support, and deliver our services.

1.2 Event Planning Data

We collect information related to your event planning activities, including event details (type, date, location, budget), preferences, vendor interactions, planning checklists, timelines, and any content you upload or generate through our platform. This data enables our AI agent to assist you with planning, scheduling, vendor discovery, and event visualization.

1.3 Usage Information

We automatically collect information about how you interact with Buildr, including pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and device information (browser type, operating system, IP address). This helps us improve our Service and understand user needs.

1.4 Payment Information

When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment information. We do not store your full credit card details. We only receive transaction information necessary to process payments and manage your subscription.

2. Google API Data Usage

Buildr offers optional integrations with Google services to enhance your event planning experience. All Google integrations are opt-in and require your explicit user authorization. We only access Google data that you explicitly grant us permission to use, and solely for event planning activities as described below. We do not access, read, or modify Google data unrelated to your event planning activities on Buildr.

2.1 Google Calendar

What we access: We create, view, and manage calendar events, tasks, reminders, and planning milestones related to your events (e.g., venue visits, payment deadlines, RSVP dates).

How we use it: Our AI agent uses Google Calendar to help you schedule event-related activities, set reminders for important deadlines, and organize your planning timeline. Calendar actions are initiated only by your requests or through explicit AI planning workflows tied to your specific event.

What we don't do: We do not access or modify calendar events unrelated to your event planning activities on Buildr.

2.2 Gmail

What we access: We send emails on your behalf related to event planning, such as vendor outreach, confirmations, reminders, and post-event follow-ups.

How we use it: Our AI agent uses Gmail to send event-related communications that you request or that are part of your planning workflow. This helps streamline vendor communication and event coordination.

What we don't do: Buildr does not read, access, or analyze your inbox content or existing emails. We only send emails on your behalf and do not access inbox content outside the scope of sending event-related emails you authorize.

2.3 Google Drive

What we access: We create and organize event-specific folders and documents, including budget trackers, planning checklists, mood board analyses, contracts, and summaries.

How we use it: Our AI agent uses Google Drive to store and organize event planning documents in a dedicated workspace for your events. Access is limited to folders and documents created by Buildr or explicitly authorized by you for event planning purposes.

What we don't do: We do not access, modify, or delete files outside your Buildr event workspace folders or files you have not explicitly authorized for event planning use.

2.4 Google API User Data Policy Compliance

Buildr's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google data to provide and improve our event planning services. We do not sell, share for advertising purposes, or access Google data outside the described event planning purposes. We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
